THREAD GAGES

SCREW THREAD INSERT - STI THREAD PLUG GAGES

All Thread Check Thread gages are manufactured in the USA unless otherwise specified. Thread Check’s Unified inch thread gages are manufactured per ANSI/ASME B1.2. Metric gages are manufactured per ANSI/ASME B1.16M. Thread Check, Inc. uses quality oil-hardened tool steel, hardened, drawn, stabilized and redrawn to Rockwell C60-62. This material provides greater wear resistance, excellent anti-friction properties and rigid stability to distortion. Thread gages are inspected at 68° and 50% humidity. N.I.S.T traceability certificates of compliance are supplied with all thread gages. Long Form Calibration are supplied at an additional cost.

Helical coil ( STI ) Plug Gages are used to gage threaded holes prior to insertion of screw thread inserts. Screw thread inserts are used to repair a damaged thread or to provide stronger thread assembly. All Helical Coil - STI thread plug gages are manufactured of oil hardened tool steel to a class X tolerance. Class W tolerance thread plug gages are priced on request.

TRILOCK THREAD PLUG GAGES Trilock style thread plug gages are used for sizes over 1 1 ⁄ 2 inches in diameter. Trilock thread plug gages are reversible style so that both ends of the gages can be used. The gage member is fastened to the handle by a center bolt assembly. To reduce weight, single end assemblies are typically offered for diameters of 3.00 inches or larger.

THREAD RING GAGES AGD - American Gage Design, unified adjustable style.

TAPERLOCK THREAD PLUG GAGES The taperlock thread plug gage style allows for a quick and convenient replacement of the gage member into an existing handle. A worn gage member can be simply removed and a new replacement inserted into the handle. Manufactured to X tolerance in class 1B, 2B or 3B in inches and 6H in metric. Available in UNC, UNF, UNEF, J and specials. Available in M, MJ and specials in metric.

Manufactured to X tolerance in class 1A, 2A and 3A Go members and 2A and 3A No Go members. Unified Series thread ring gages are available in UNC, UNF, UNEF, and specials. Metric thread ring gages are manufactured to a class 6g. AGD adjustable style thread ring gages can only be calibrated by means of a set plug. For UNJ and MJ threads add $55.00. For Long Form Calibration - add $20.00 per member or $40.00 per set.

All standard taperlock thread plug gages are stocked in hard chrome coating which extends the wear life of the gage by more than a 100% thus providing dramatic savings in replacement costs.

REVERSIBLE THREAD PLUG GAGES The reversible thread plug gage style allows for one end of the gage to be rotated so the user gets two gages in one. A worn gage end can be turned around by simply opening the collet of the handle and turning the gage and bushing around so the

opposite end essentially becomes a new gage. The reversible thread plug gage is ideal in high volume inspection applications. Manufactured to X tolerance in class 1B, 2B or 3B in inches and 6H in metric. Available in UNC, UNF, UNEF, J and specials. Available in M, MJ and specials in metric.

All Thread Check thread ring gages are root relieved for longer life and more accurate gaging. The gages are manufactured with a root clearance in the major diameter which eliminates the possibility of interference from the full form section of the thread setting plug and major diameter of the part being gaged. This feature assures that the thread flanks are making proper contact.
